Giving

In life, you may find yourself upon a rare occasion,
The invitation to give an exquisite gift.
A gift that is the best you can give.
A gift that can only be given by you.
A gift immeasurably significant to the person who will receive it.
A gift that costs you greatly.
A gift laden with a piece of your soul.
It is something which, in the giving, will forever change you,
For you will become a person capable of giving a gift of such magnitude
Away.

This act of  bestowing is something very precious.
An impartation of beauty, of glory, which renders the giver more beautiful and more glorious,
In likeness to the Great Giver.
This act which manifests itself in the deeply appropriate, fitting, and satisfying assurance
That what is being given is pure in intention and rightness.
A gift that will only bless, not harm.

Given unto The Giver, for the sake of another, in emulation of His giving.

The gift transcends the earthy and it is the giving which is then declared eternal in value.
The giving a treasure robed in the glory of the Heavenly realm.
The giving a treasure laid up for the giver.
An act in which there will be forever joy, where the sacrifice becomes the blessing.
Sown into the earth, birthed into the heavens, kept safe, where nothing can take away its value.
Nothing can destroy it. It is an eternally existing blessing.
It matters not if the world covers it in darkness.
If the one to whom it was given values not its importance.
If man has soiled and desecrated its earthly existence, offered its back to the gift or even to the giver.
Nothing can remove it's sacredness...or make it common.

Will it be redeemed, retrieved, or repaired in the earthly realm?
Who can say?
It matters not.  It retains every measure of value in the eyes of the only One who matters.
The giver is not bound to the receiver.
Only to The Great Giver.
